Monte Carlo

We only had a couple of nights in Nice and as we thought they really should have named it 'Noice' we didn't want to waste a night there and miss out on Monte Carlo. And boy are we glad we went.

Monaco really is a tiny little place, but it's a pretty quick drive from Nice and well worth it, especially when you realise you're driving around the Grand Prix track and going through the Casino tunnel. We're definitely coming back here one day, hopefully with more money to spend!

Here's Sue and Luka out the front of the Casino. We tried to sneak him in, but they knocked him back because he wasn't wearing any shoes.

After the cappuccino froth in Paris, it was time for another first in Luka's life. Although he'd eaten pasta before, he could never quite figure out how to suck the spaghetti up. Whether it was the bright lights or all the movie stars, we're not sure, but he figured it out in Monte Carlo at the Cafe de Paris. We figured out that a beer and a cocktail isn't worth 25 Euro, even in Monte Carlo!

This is one of my favourite photos from the holiday. Sue looking stunning reflected in the window of a rather expensive jewellery store.

Just one of the locals chucking laps.

The Grand Prix had only been run a few weeks earlier, so the ripple strips were still in place. Here's the one outside the Hotel de Paris. Next time we'll stay here.
